El Capitan

Since rootless is a magical thing it will deny access to moving any of substrate's /usr/lib files over to /usr/lib on El Capitan. This should be remided with a new solution, but until then a suggestion to disabling rootless should be placed. Alucard (talk) 00:26, 15 October 2015 (PDT)


Included is a link to sdk300.deb which is not legal to distribute. This should be remedied. --rpetrich

Replaced coredev.nl repo with coolstar's. It has a newer Perl, which doesn't need patching, and also doesn't need 9000+ dependencies ;) --Domo

ldid installation is broken for me

I'm using Linux Mint 17.1 Cinnamon.

The "-arch" flag only exists in Darwin builds of g++. One can use "-march" on Linux, however "-arch" is used on OS X to produce binaries that have more than one executable in a given file. "-march" only permits one kind of executable, so the compile would have to be run twice.

I tried:

# g++ -o ldid ldid.cpp -I. -x c lookup2.c sha1.c

Which yielded:

/tmp/ccfOZ588.o: In function `sha1(unsigned char*, unsigned char*, unsigned long)':
ldid.cpp:(.text+0x55b): undefined reference to `SHA1Reset'
ldid.cpp:(.text+0x577): undefined reference to `SHA1Input'
ldid.cpp:(.text+0x58a): undefined reference to `SHA1Result'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

Hey MichaelCrawford, saurik looked at this and figured out that the command really should be g++ -o ldid ldid.cpp -I. -x c lookup2.c -x c sha1.c so he pushed a new make.sh that should fix the problem. Britta (talk) 15:13, 9 February 2015 (PST)
