Rock Extensions is a fork of MobileSubstrate, which is notorious among the developers that make MobileSubstrate extensions behave erroneously. It cannot run on 3.x.

Difference with MobileSubstrate

Foundation.framework will always be loaded in Rock Extensions, while MobileSubstrate will not (in the newer versions). This may cause problems in some apps like Skype.
Rock Extensions has better crash handling than MobileSubstrate. For example, it features a crash reporter, and crashing extensions will be automatically disabled.
Rock Extensions uses an old fork of MobileSubstrate, which may miss some improvements.
Rock Extensions is closed-source.
